Mid-market teams add AI agents faster than they add employees.
BambooHR is the HR system for companies between fifty and fifteen hundred employees. That is the exact band where AI adoption is moving fastest. Every department is standing up agents, and nobody wants to build a parallel HRIS to track them. SuperOrgs sits next to BambooHR, reads your employee list nightly, and gives you one picture of humans plus agents without asking your people team to learn a new tool.
What SuperOrgs adds next to BambooHR.
Three capabilities that turn BambooHR from a standalone employee HRIS into one half of an integrated humans-and-agents workforce view.
Shadow AI discovery
Your finance team knows what you buy centrally. They do not know what your marketing manager expensed on a personal card last Tuesday. SuperOrgs connects to the payment and API surfaces your employees are actually using and surfaces every AI tool in play, joined back to the employee record in BambooHR.
A lightweight agent lifecycle
Enterprise HRIS platforms have multi-stage workflows. BambooHR customers usually want the opposite: a light, readable lifecycle that does not require a dedicated admin. SuperOrgs ships that lifecycle out of the box. Discover, assign, review, decommission. No consulting engagement required.
Off-boarding that closes the AI loop
BambooHR's off-boarding checklist is a good baseline. SuperOrgs extends it so that when an employee's last day arrives, every AI tool they used is listed, every owner is flagged, and every seat is ready to be reclaimed. Nothing gets left open for your legal team to find six months later.
Your AI spend next to your BambooHR headcount.
The chart below normalizes AI spend per employee so you can see how your footprint scales with headcount. In production the employee count is drawn from BambooHR and the AI spend is drawn from every connected platform.
How it works
How the BambooHR connector works.
Four-step configuration using the BambooHR public API. Read-only by default. No PII leaves your BambooHR tenant beyond what SuperOrgs needs to build an ownership graph.
- 01
Generate a BambooHR API key
Your BambooHR administrator generates an API key with the minimum permissions SuperOrgs requires: employee list and organizational chart. The key is per-tenant and can be rotated or revoked from BambooHR at any time without affecting your SuperOrgs historical data.
- 02
We import your employee list nightly
SuperOrgs pulls every active employee, their manager, their department, their job title, and their employment status. Sensitive fields like compensation and personal contact information are explicitly excluded from the pull. The result is an employee graph sized to the shape of BambooHR, not a generic HRIS abstraction.
- 03
We join your AI agents to the employee graph
Every agent SuperOrgs discovers across your connected platforms is joined to a BambooHR employee using corporate email matching. When an employee owns multiple tools, the graph shows the full stack. When an agent has no employee owner, it is flagged immediately for triage.
- 04
We light up off-boarding automation
When a BambooHR employee's status flips to terminated or when their termination date arrives, SuperOrgs surfaces the agents tied to them in an off-boarding packet routed to their manager and to IT. The packet pre-fills the tasks needed to reclaim each seat, rotate each key, and re-assign each agent.
Cost intelligence
AI spend per employee, the mid-market operator's metric.
$5,074
28 agents under management
$60,888
based on current monthly trajectory plus +8.2% MoM
$10,355
per employee, peer cohort median
Companies in BambooHR's target band (fifty to fifteen hundred employees) typically report between eighteen and eighty-five dollars per employee per month in aggregate AI spend. SuperOrgs plots your organization against that band, shows which departments sit above the median, and makes the spend-per-head ratio a legible metric for your operations team.
Governance
Governance for teams that want controls, not ceremony.
BambooHR customers rarely have a dedicated security team. SuperOrgs ships governance that is meaningful without demanding a full-time admin to run it.
Simple approval workflow
When an employee requests a new AI tool or a new agent, the approval flows to their manager and to one organization-level approver. No five-step policy matrix. The approval is captured and becomes the audit artifact for your next insurance questionnaire.
Shared budget ceilings
Set a total monthly AI budget and a per-department split. When the department approaches its ceiling, the manager receives a summary of what is driving it. When the organization approaches its ceiling, the operator sees the same summary one level up. No runaway quarterly surprises.
Sensitive-data attestation
Mark a BambooHR employee as working with sensitive data and SuperOrgs will require a higher-bar attestation before an AI agent tied to that employee is added or modified. This is a simple control for mid-market teams that do not yet have a formal data classification regime.
Clean audit export
Download a complete audit log of AI agent changes in the last year as a single CSV. Bring it to your auditor, your insurer, or your board. The log covers who did what to which agent, when, and with whose approval, without needing a separate SIEM deployment.
FAQ
Questions teams running BambooHR ask us.
How does SuperOrgs fit alongside BambooHR for mid-market teams?
BambooHR remains the system of record for people, time-off, onboarding, and performance. SuperOrgs is the system of record for AI agents, their costs, and their governance. The two systems share the employee list on a nightly sync. Your HR team keeps their BambooHR workflow. Your operations team uses SuperOrgs.
Do we need a dedicated admin to run this?
No. SuperOrgs is designed for the mid-market operating cadence. The initial connector setup takes under thirty minutes. Ongoing maintenance is limited to approving new AI tools and periodically reviewing the recommendations SuperOrgs surfaces. Most customers run it without a full-time admin.
What about integrations with payroll providers like Gusto or Justworks?
BambooHR is the first HRIS layer SuperOrgs supports for mid-market. Gusto and Justworks are on the near-term roadmap. If your team uses BambooHR for HR and a separate payroll provider, the BambooHR connector alone is sufficient today because agent attribution flows through BambooHR's employee list, not payroll.
Is SuperOrgs affordable for a fifty to two hundred person team?
Yes. Pricing scales with the number of employees and agents under management, not per seat or per connector. A hundred-person team running SuperOrgs typically lands at a monthly cost well below what they would spend on a single abandoned AI tool subscription. The conversation is worth a ten-minute call.
“We went from five AI tools we knew about to twenty-three we did not, in an afternoon. Every single one is now owned by someone in BambooHR.”
